The cello case made of composite polycarbonate and ABS is lighter than fiberglass cases and cheaper than carbon fiber cases.
In addition, it has a layer of thermal insulation. It is available in a wide range of colors and several types of external surface. The cello case offered on the market is distinguished by the fact that it is equipped with a six-point straps fixing system. This makes the case with the instrument worn on the back more stable and appears lighter. Like other cello cases, this one also has the option of rolling it on wheels on the pavement. The surface of the cello case covered with a layer of polycarbonate makes it less sensitive to minor mechanical damage than laminates of fiberglass or carbon. However, to maintain a beautiful shiny surface, the user is required to take care of the case.
